The warplanes of Kenyan defense forces [KDF] have carried out an overnight airstrike near the border town of El Wak, residents said.
A local villager told Radio Shabelle that the KDF jets bombed an area, about 2Km away from El Wak, and destroyed a telecommunication mast belonging to Hormuud telecom.
The Kenyan military has been accused of deliberate bombardment on residential areas on the Somali-Kenyan border and killing civilians and livestock.
The local elders in El Wak say they held a meeting over the KDF attack and will lodge a complaint with Somali government in Mogadishu.
Kenya has witnessed attacks from Al Shabaab since it sent its troops to Somalia in 2011 and joined AMISOM to take part the fight against the militants.
