A suicide car bomb has gone off at a checkpoint near Somalia’s parliament and interior ministry in the capital Mogadishu on Sunday afternoon, killing at least one and injuring 2.
The bomb exploded at the heavily guarded area and a police checkpoint.
The latest reports said a civil servant was killed after a bomb under his car went off while driving on the busy Makka Al Mukarama road in Mogadishu.
The police sealed off the scene following the explosion and removed the wreckage of the car from the area, allowing then the public movement and transportations.
Al Shabaab is blamed for the attack targeting the government official.
