Somali PM, Hassan Ali Khaire, along with security ministry and security chief has inspected several police stations in Mogadishu on the eve of the Holy month of Ramadan.

Khaire who was accompanied by security minister, Mohamed Abukar, officials from Benadir Administration and police officers were briefed by the commanders on the security forces.

Briefing the Prime Minister, Somali Police commissioner, Bashir Abi Mohamed said the security of the city has improved significantly since the routine operation began.

The security minister who spoke to the media during the visit said the tour of the Prime Minister was intended to assess the security of the capital.

The visit came days after AMISOM and Somali security forces will conduct joint patrols throughout the Ramadan period aiming to beef up security in the capital city.
