Somali Security Minister Mohamed Abukar has dismissed two security chief and arrested 12 soldiers over Al shabaab attack in Hamarweyne last week.

The security chiefs have been sacked over incompetence and failure in detaining gunmen killed the secretary of Somali women organization and her driver September 27, 2017.

The move comes amid an investigation into the murder of the two people, which claimed by Al Shabaab. The minister has urged the security chiefs to capture the killers last week.

Mogadishu has seen series of attacks over the past few weeks, amid heavy presence of security personnel on main streets.
