Two small planes collide on the ground at Mogadishu’s Aden Abdulle International airport on Saturday morning, authorities and witnesses said.

A witness in the airport told Radio Shabelle that the incident took place after a plane belongs to the EU collided with a private small plane at the runway.

The passenger plane which is run by a private airline company named Galayr lost a wing and fuel. No casualties reported.

Authorities said an investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, EU ambassador to Somalia Veronique Lorenzo said there has been a small collision this morning of an EU flight during taxing.

She said passengers and crew with no physical injuries. EU will continue operating its flights with no disruption.
